It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference. Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. The Object of My Extension - Concrete Child (cargocollective.com)
The Object of my Extension (with Namrata Mehta, Aliya Pabani) was a collaborative tactical project as a part of the 'public. art. ecology' Residency Program at Khoj, New Delhi during March-April 2010.
The project tried to articulate and map the flows that connected the older market spaces of Old Delhi (Chandni Chowk) with the glistening IT park of Gurgaon. The mapping of their connections occurred through recordings of their movements in real spaces and those of nostalgia and aspirations. Objects were specifically created to record participant's desires and memories. Although a roadway and railway line connected these spaces, the connections drawn between the two spaces in many unforeseen ways.
In the narratives of such people and their past and future ahead itself lay the traces to the growth trajectories and future plans to the city itself.
